Flagship Tulsa

Neosource has manufactured and donated prop tooling towards the restoration of the Flagship Tulsa DC-3.

May 20, 2009 was the official start of the restoration and also marked the day Flagship Tulsa celebrated its 70th birthday. Flagship Tulsa was purchased by the Tulsa Air & Space Museum, which has elicited the assistance of small and large companies for a complete restoration.

Neosource volunteered to manufacture tooling utilizing our waterjet machines and CNC machining centers and to repair airframe parts as an FAA Repair Station.

2009 United Way Day of Caring

For the 2009 project, Neosource returned to the 30,000 acre Zink Ranch. We again closed our doors for the day, sending all employees to paint 4 showers/bathrooms. We were short one primary employee and wish him a speedy recovery. A few alternates assisted in his place. These showers/bathrooms (ok, they call them latrines - but are very nice latrines!) are used by the Girl Scouts at both Camp Tallchief and Camp Swannie.

The Girl Scout program, with the assistance of Executive Assistant Gale Clark and Ranger Scott Walker, has provided numerous activities for over 10,000 Girl Scouts.

Our crew had a great time painting 4 out buildings scattered in 2 camps. One of our crew provided a professional paint sprayer. Another crew member, after just a few trigger pulls realized the significant increase of painting speed, was reluctant to give the paint gun to anyone else. This was a great time to work as a team away from our everyday jobs while enjoying one another’s good company. Our wide variety of personalities makes it all the better – some would be called ‘characters’!

Neosource is fortunate to be maintaining a heavy workload, and special efforts were needed to gratefully volunteer for this project while maintaining customer satisfaction. It continues to be a privilege and an emotional inspiration to help our Tulsa area community. Neosource is pleased for the opportunity to give back to a community that has provided so much to us.

Neosource especially recognizes the anniversary of September 11, 2001 and encourages all of us to use our many blessings, skills and gifts to support our community. We also recognize our own local Anchor Paint for contributing towards the 25 gallons of paint purchased for this project.

Neosource 2nd Annual Golf Tournament

We want to thank the 15 companies and 60 players who made our second year a resounding success. It was a beautiful day for the fun loving golfers who no doubt maintained the most accurate accounting of all golf swings.

A great lunch followed with cash and gift prizes. Besides all the great camaraderie, the great participation allowed an additional contribution to the United Way, over and above Neosources' annual pledge.

We recognize and thank the following sponsors:

  • A & S Dispatch
  • Bralco Metals
  • C-4 Machine Tools Inc.
  • Farmer's Insurance
  • Integrated Metals
  • JP Metals
  • Longbow Investments
  • PMI Machine
  • Pioneer Steel
  • Proctor

A very special thanks to our organizers, Jeremy, Rodney and Keith, for making this such a success.

Also, a special thanks to Craig and Justin for all their hard work on the waterjet cutting and custom painting of the aluminum golf ball signs. They were awesome!

See you next year!!

Turner Junior Pool Opened June 15th!

Neosource had the privilege of spearheading a fund raiser for the opening of an 8th Tulsa pool benefiting our young people 12 and under. Tulsa’s challenging economy funded the opening of only 7 of 22 pools. Through the generous contributions of local aerospace, manufacturing and business leaders, Tulsa Parks Director Nancy Atwater director expedited the work necessary to open Turner Junior Pool for the 2009 swimming season.

Further complicating a 2009 opening was the installation of safety drains required by the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act. Located near 5th and Harvard, close to Will Rogers High School, Turner Pool consists of a main pool, infant pool and an activity center.

We recognize and thank the following sponsors for their generous donations.

  • Southwest United Industries
  • Pryer Machine
  • Omni Air International
  • Spirit Bank
  • Helicomb
  • C4 Inc.
