Community – 2023

John 3:16 Mission

RECLAIMING LIVES; RESTORING HOPE Neosource provided 36 turkeys and a variety of vegetables and other Thanksgiving ‘fixins’. Our shopper Dixie arranged all the purchases from Sam’s and Reasor’s. The folks at the mission with our guys quickly unloaded everything. For 2023, John 3:16 is experiencing a real shortage of donations, so we implore everyone to help, no matter how large or small. Even after Thanksgiving as the needs never goes away. We encourage continued giving to John 3:16, or others of your choice now and throughout the year. It’s never too late to give.

Fostering Connections Christmas for Kids

Neosource once again partnered with Tulsa based FOSTERING CONNECTIONS ( to sponsor 25 foster children this year responding to each child’s wish list with donations to insure a happy Christmas morning. Additionally, our great staff whole heartedly supported a separate company toy drive, providing bicycles and toys to help ensure other foster children wake up with something for Christmas. They really knocked it out of the park this year – see photos – most proud of all of them!!  Toys with batteries had batteries installed.  And, to make sure no child wakes up with a new bike with flat tires, our great crew pressurized all the tires.

Neosource history with Salvation Army.

  • 2005 – Local Family Assistance Center
  • 2007 – Boys/Girls Community Center
  • 2010 – Boys/Girls Club in Broken Arrow
  • 2013 – Mabee Community Center

This year’s crew was a mixture of first time and previous Day of Caring participants.  Many of our ‘old timer’s’ at previous Day of Caring’s held down the fort at the shop and maintained our busy work schedule to meet customer’s expectations.  PAINT YEAR!! We were privileged to paint 10 women’s dorm rooms and  a large hallway at the downtown Salvation Army Center of Hope Tulsa Area Command Center.  Each room consisted of 2 double bunkbeds that provides customers at night for a safe and comfortable environment.  Prior to our arrival, Maintenance Supervisor Matt helped us out a lot by patching any wall areas from typical wear and tear.  Our many thanks to Salvation Army’s Deanna Schaefer, Matt and Dave for assisting us with this project.

Coweta Northwest Elementary Aquarium Field Trip

It’s so awesome to see public school buses rounding the corner full of excited first graders ready to visit the Oklahoma Aquarium. And then to see all these young excited children bouncing off the buses – they are so full of life an precious by every means. Neosource was more than pleased to sponsor all three first grades from Coweta’s Northwest Elementary. 85 children and 18 chaperones spent half a day at our wonderful aquarium. Many children had never been, so it was a special treat for them. And of course, petting the sting rays was popular, as well as feeding the turtles. This ever growing and improving aquarium now includes a large sea turtle tank. The kids enjoyed watching them slowly lumber through the water. The wide variety of live exhibits and the spectacular shark tank makes for an educational and entertaining visit. We wish to thank Coweta’s Principal Richard Lock and first grade teachers Ashleigh Graif, Phyllis Zimmerman and Lindsey Haskins for bringing their classes to the aquarium and keeping all the children safe
