Neosource is excited to report orders for another HAAS VF5/50 and a 5-axis HAAS UMC-750. The VF5/50 will upgrade our equipment by retiring our workhorse Cincinnati 1250. The UMC-750 increases the capability of Neosource with 5-axis machining.
The addition of these machines completes our plan to modernize all our CNC milling equipment with machines less than 5 years old.
The rapid expansion of aerospace parts and parts for the oil/gas industry has created the need for investing in newer machines with increased capability.

Neosource is upgrading another section of the original 4” thick poorly laid concrete with 8” thick concrete using 5/8” rebar on 1’ centers.
Additionally, a 1000 sq ft storage building will be installed for keeping our customer’s material protected from the weather.
Keep watching this site for progress!

Neosource has incorporated a new Donaldson downdraft bench for advancing our safety of employees from sanding and grinding dust. This state of the art bench pulls significant air past the working parts being sanded, blended, ground, etc. and keeps fine dust particles from ingestion and contaminating shop areas. The satisfaction of this bench has been extremely high.

Conference & Exhibition April 16-18, 2013
Atlanta, GA
This year was a great success for Neosource at the Atlanta MRO. Our booth #2838 had great traffic with visitors interested in finding out about Neosource Repair, Manufacturing and Waterjet capabilities. While there was continued interest for the repair of many components, including Hartwell, Avibank and RAM latches for Boeing and Airbus, there was significant interest for Hartwell latch repairs for regional jets. H3412’s, H3415’s, H3445’s and H3419’s were big movers which Neosource repairs at a fraction of new, and turn time under 10 days. Some of our great vendors were there, including Hytek and Southwest United Plating. Atlanta has the most incredible aquarium!! It is HUGE with a wide variety of species, well laid out sections and an incredible dolphin show.
Next year, off to Phoenix!

High humidity – yes! Hot – yes, yes! Big jobs – yes! Great work crews – yes!!
In 2011, we anticipated needing a larger project for 2012 due to our growth and additional numbers. We certainly met our expectations!! Two similar, but separate Day of Caring projects, enabled our 20 great employees to help repair the homes of two local senior citizen families. Life Senior Services is an agency with the United Way, and Neosource had the privilege of assisting these families. Life Senior Services, www.LIFEseniorservices.org, is committed to providing the information and resources helping seniors remain independent and surrounded by the comforts of home.
For 2012, Neosource again closed its doors and sent all its employees to replace and repair the soffits and fascia boards on two homes. Much of the material was cut, primed and painted prior to the actual Day of Caring at Neosource enabling an incredible amount of repairs to be performed on September 7th. Materials included 22 sheets of 4x8’s, 432’ of 1x6 rough cedar, 240’ of 1x2 rough cedar, 252’ of cove molding, 84’ of treated 2x4’s, 16 gallons of primer and paint and a lot of caulking.

Conference & Exhibition April 3-5, 2012
Dallas, TX
The Dallas MRO got off to a exciting first day with tornado warnings and everyone sent to the glass walled basement. Fortunately, there was no damage to the facility, but extensive damage east of Dallas. There seemed to be many more vendors and increased foot traffic since the 2011 convention. Neosource continued to generate interest in our Repair, Manufacturing and Waterjet capabilities. Jeremy Johnson and Craig Stutzman anchored the Neosource booth through the eventual beautiful weather of April 2012. Jeremy promoted FAA145 repairs, aerospace manufacturing and our new Browne & Sharpe Coordinate Measuring Machine. Craig Stutzman touted waterjet machining as well as Neosource’s 3 new Haas 4 axis machining centers. Neosource utilized a double booth for 2012, just to give us some leg room!
For 2013, visit our booth in Atlanta!

The increase in manufacturing required our investment in an automatic cut-off saw. Not only has bar size been increased from our previous saw, but the self-feed and accuracy of parts improves the next machining operation.

Neosource is working with DGI to increase shop tooling efficiency using an automatic tool crib. As mills, drills, abrasive pads, etc. are used, DGI is automatically notified via internet for regular restocking. This system reduces the sudden discovery that certain tooling is zero stock, with the resultant scramble to locally find that tooling.

The machining area has not only invested in late model CNC Vertical machining centers, but has made significant strides towards lean manufacturing at each of these work stations. Identifying and designating the tooling for the work being performed at each different work station allows the machinist to have everything available for maximizing CNC output. Time is saved by having all the right tools readily available, eliminating the frustration of searching the shop and wasting valuable machinist and machine time. This was only possible through the vision and initiative of all those in the machining area.
